CCV NAM Capture Pack
Coming Soon
From low-gain bite to saturated high-gain roar, CCV puts a powerful combination at your fingertips: a Myasnikov CCV preamp running into a Friedman Jose power section, captured through an old Sunn 4×12 loaded with DV77s and Greenbacks.
Explore the standard gain range from low to high, then choose the clipping and compression that suit your playing. The CCV’s three Gain Stage positions give you distinct responses, from the normal setting to progressively more saturated, compressed tones.
The capture rig
- Preamp: Myasnikov CCV
- Power section: Friedman Jose
- Cabinet: Old Sunn 4×12
- Speakers: DV77s and Greenbacks
- Gain range: Low through high gain
Normal, Sat1 and Sat2
The names Normal (Nrm), Sat1 and Sat2 refer to the gain staging used during capture. The CCV’s Gain Stage toggle position determines the amount of clipping and overall signal compression, while LG, MG and HG identify low, medium and high gain within that setting. The Gain Stage settings are:
- Normal — center: The normal setting, with the least compression of the three positions.
- Sat1 — left: Added clipping and compression for a more saturated response.
- Sat2 — right: The most clipping and compression for the most saturated response.
Use the gain level to choose your amount of drive and the Normal, Sat1 or Sat2 designation to find your preferred Gain Stage character. Whether you want a more open response or a heavily compressed high-gain feel, this pack gives you room to explore.
