The Dirty Shirley lives in a fantastic space between vintage British crunch and modern Friedman refinement. It has rich, chewy mids, a punchy low end and an open feel that responds beautifully to pick attack and guitar-volume changes.

From dynamic crunch through thicker, singing gain tones, this pack was built to capture the range and feel that make the Dirty Shirley such a ridiculously fun amp to play.

The Cabinets

The Sunn 4x12 is fitted with a combination of Celestion Creamback M65 and H75 speakers, giving the larger-cabinet captures a mix of woody midrange, firm lows, clarity and bite.

The ported Genz Benz 2x12 uses a Celestion Creamback paired with a Greenback. The ported enclosure adds its own punch and low-end character, while the mixed speakers bring a great combination of warmth, grind and classic British texture.

Between the two cabinet setups, you get noticeably different flavors of the Dirty Shirley rather than simply variations of the same speaker configuration.

The Sound

DShirl delivers big British-style crunch, thick harmonically rich mids, punchy lows and a lively, organic response.

At moderate gain settings, the amp stays open and articulate with plenty of pick dynamics and excellent cleanup from the guitar volume. Push it harder and the sound becomes thicker, smoother and more vocal, making it equally useful for hard-rock rhythm tones and sustaining leads.

The full DI Sound Clones also let you bypass those cabinet choices entirely and pair the Dirty Shirley with your own favorite cabinets and IRs inside the Ampero II ecosystem.
