“I think this is one of the best-sounding profile packs I’ve made to date.” —Matt

Liquid VXThirty brings together 24 Kemper Liquid profiles and every unique sound I could coax out of this amp. I spent a lot of time exploring its settings, dialing it in and listening closely before profiling, with the goal of getting each sound exactly where it should be.

For each profile, I deliberately selected the high or low input to suit that particular sound and preserve as much of the amp’s natural dynamics as possible. That input choice was part of the work that went into each profile, with careful attention to how the amp responds to your playing.

The 2×12 versions include my custom Vox-style, semi-open-back cabinet, loaded with an Alnico Blue and a trusty Greenback. It has a huge, rich sound that is an important part of these cabinet-equipped profiles.

What’s included

24 Kemper Liquid profiles: 12 sounds, each supplied in a 2×12 version and a DI version.

  • Normal channel: Bass, Normal and Bright voicings, each in Open and Pushed settings.
  • Top Boost channel: Open and Pushed settings.
  • Blended channels: The Normal and Top Boost channels together at low, mid and high gain.
  • Treble-boosted Normal channel: The Normal channel boosted with a Catalinbread Naga Viper treble booster.

Open profiles: morph down to clean

The Open profiles have Kemper Morphing programmed to take the sound down to a fully clean tone. I wanted that extra flexibility to be part of the pack. Pushed identifies the more driven variation.

How to read the profile names

  • Nrm means Normal. In Nrm Bass, Nrm Nrm or Nrm Brt, the first label identifies the Normal channel and the second identifies its Bass, Normal or Bright voicing.
  • TB identifies the amp’s Top Boost channel.
  • Blend identifies the blended channels. LG / MG / HG mean low / mid / high gain.
  • Trebbst identifies the Normal channel boosted with the Catalinbread Naga Viper.
  • Open / Pushed identify the setting; Open profiles include the clean Morph described above.
  • 212 means the 2×12 cabinet sound is included.
  • DI means the amp sound without the cabinet, ready for your preferred cabinet or IR.

For example, Nrm Brt Open 212 is the Normal channel in Bright voicing, using the Open setting with the 2×12 cabinet sound included. Nrm Brt Pushed DI is the same channel and voicing in the Pushed setting, without the cabinet.

Is this the right format for my rig?

This listing is for Kemper Profiler or Player. You need compatible hardware or software to use it; that equipment or software is not included. Choose another system if you use a different setup.

What do Studio, DI and IR mean?

Studio / Amp+Cab: the captured cabinet sound is already included. DI: the amp sound without the cabinet, for pairing with your own cabinet simulation or suitable guitar cabinet setup. IR: an impulse response used to recreate a cabinet sound.

Check the pack details above for the versions included in this particular pack.

How is this different from a collection?

An individual pack focuses on the amp or setup named in its listing. A themed collection groups several complete packs around a sound. An Everything Pack contains the exact packs listed for one system and edition.
